If you are interested in Bohemian glass art between 1700 and 1950 (Biedermeier up to Art
Nouveau), you should not miss the Glass museum. With a collection of over 30.000 glasses it is the biggest museum worldwide that puts a special emphasis on the 19th century. The founder of the museum is Georg Höltl who also invented the world-famous “Rolling Hotels”. The Passau Glas museum is, along with the Hotel “Wilder Mann”, located in the historical complex of buildings called “Wilder Mann”. A third of the buildings is used as a hotel, 2 thirds are used as a museum.
