Golling Castle Museum

Burg Golling

The history of this castle began approx. 1000 years ago. The Museum focuses on the cultural history of this period. The exhibits reach far further back into the history of the settlement. They include artefacts from the Stone Age as well as fully preserved Celtic metal work. A major focus of the museum is on the Middle Ages. The torture chamber tells the history of the rule of law during that period.
The museum also has exhibits in relation to the military. As well as providing information on battles with the French on the Lueg Pass, exhibits from both World Wars are also on show.
