Pinzgau Train

Pinzgau Train

This railway line was opened in 1898 and has remained a tourist attraction to this day: not just for fans of cog wheel railways. The Pinzgau cog wheel railway runs from Zell am See to Mittersill. The line follows along the Salzach through the picturesque landscape of the Hohe Tauern National Park.
The journey can be made on a modern diesel engine train or with a nostalgic steam train.
